To add a bit of extra realism to our Fanhome 1:8 scale Knight Rider K.I.T.T., the folks over at Mike Lane Mods have produced this fine set of Heel and Toe Pads for our partwork model!

“Highly detailed and made from metal, these molded heel and toe pads for the driver side footwell have been faithfully matched to those found in the real Knight Rider.”

This set consists of two highly-detailed and color-matched sections with stitching detail. Each piece includes pre-installed 3M adhesive so the parts can be simply stuck into the proper locations of the Interior Floor Panel from Stage 52. They are designed to complement Mike’s matching Front Carpets mod which was already installed before I did this mod.

Installation

First, test fit the two pads to their proper location, as seen here. If needed, the metal is pliable and can be bent into shape as needed:

Then, simply peel the backing paper from the pads and press them into place!

Thoughts

While a large section of the Heel Pad will be covered up by Mike’s Floor Mats mod, these Heel and Toe Pads still add a very nice touch to the interior of our Knight Rider K.I.T.T. model. It is small details like this that catch your eye and make the model even more impressive!
