Speaker, Door and Light Wiring
Step 1
Retrieve your Chassis from the previous stage. Fit the Circuit Board onto these four matching posts at the rear of the Chassis, noting the orientation shown here.
Since this will be sitting very close to the metal Chassis, I put a small piece of electrical tape where it could make contact just to be safe:
Then, I placed the Circuit Board into position:
Secure the Circuit Board to the Chassis with four (4) PM screws.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal. Do not overtighten these screw as it could damage the board:
Step 2
Connect the plug from the Battery Compartment with Switch (marked ‘C’) to socket ‘C’ of the Circuit Board, as shown.
TIP: Here is a quick look at the designations for each socket on the Circuit Board. For further information, I also created a dedicated WIRING page that details all of the connections on this Circuit Board and the purposes of each wire:
These plugs have specific polarity and need to be installed correctly – do not force any plugs into their sockets:
Step 3
Fit the Speaker into the Speaker Box, aligning it as shown:
Then, connect the Speaker plug to socket ‘S‘ of the Circuit Board:
Step 4
Fit the Speaker Cover over the Speaker as shown.
If needed, slightly rotate the Speaker so the wire connections are aligned in the gap of the Cover:
Then, secure this Cover into place with two (2) GM screws:
Step 5
Connect the Front Scanner Wire (marked ‘A’) to socket ‘A‘ of the Circuit Board, as shown:
Step 6
Connect the long single end of the Door Switch Connector (marked ‘B’) to socket ‘B‘ of the Circuit Board, as shown:
Step 7
Connect the Left Door Switch (short cable with switch marked ‘B’) and Right Door Switch (long cable with switch marked ‘B’) to the split connector at the free end of the Door Switch Connector, as shown:
Step 8
Connect the Front Light Wire 2 (cable without LEDs marked ‘R’) to socket ‘R‘ of the Circuit Board, as shown:
Step 9
Connect the Front Light Wire 1 (cable with LEDs marked ‘R’) to the free end of the Front Light Wire 2, as shown:
Thoughts
With all of the electrical features of our K.I.T.T. model, I feel this is only the beginning of all the necessary wiring we will be adding!

Hi, I was wondering if you plan on installing the Dashboard screens mod from Mike Lane? It looks amazing!
I actually already installed Mike Lane’s Dashboard Monitors. However, I was waiting on the next issues so it made a bit more sense in regards to the stock PCB and wiring. I will write the Monitors up in a dedicated article soon!
