Build

Rear Anti-Roll Bar

Step 1

Insert the keyed end of a Anti-Roll Bar Anchor Tube into the matching large hole at one end of the Rear Anti-Roll Bar, as shown.

Each Anchor Tube has this small ‘key’:

These should be fitted into the matching notches on each end of the Anti-Roll Bar:

Secure this Anchor Tube into place from the other side with one (1) BP screw:

Step 2

In the same way, secure the second Anti-Roll Bar Anchor Tube to the opposite end of the Rear Anti-Roll Bar using one (1) more BP screw:

Step 3

Retrieve your Chassis from the previous stage and turn it upside down. Fit the Anti-Roll Bar to this matching location on the rear Chassis.

The ‘cross bar’ of the Anti-Roll Bar should rest in these recesses of the Rear Axle, as shown:

At the same time, the Anchor Tubes should be fitted into these matching posts on either side:

Step 4

Secure the Anchor Tubes to the Chassis from the top side with two (2) BP screws:

Step 5

Fit one of the Anti-Roll Bar Brackets to this location on the Rear Axle, capturing the Anti-Roll Bar in between, and secure it into place with two (2) GM screws:

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Step 6

Fit the second Anti-Roll Bar Bracket to this opposite location on the Rear Axle, again capturing the Anti-Roll Bar in between, and secure it into place with two (2) more GM screws:

Thoughts

I believe this stage represents the final step in the assembly of the suspension on our K.I.T.T. model. Things are about to get interesting!
